Wooden clogs are an iconic part of Dutch culture, every bit as symbolic as tulips or windmills. Clogs have been around for centuries and were originally created to protect farmer’s feet while they worked their farms.
Today clogs are sold mostly to tourists and very few craftsmen remain in the Netherlands who make clogs. Our site is here to show not only how great clogs are, but how they become entrenched in Dutch culture.
